Description: Rosemary and Douglas Bruce promise a warm welcome to their house, great hospitality and a hearty breakfast - a perfect base for your visit to the magical Isle of Skye. Stonefield has three spacious and luxurious bedrooms. Two rooms are en-suite and the other has a private bathroom. All of the rooms can be offered as double or twin rooms. Each room has: Television, Radio Alarm Clock, Tea and Coffee making facilities, Small Drinks Fridge, Suit Press, Hairdryer and Ironing facilities. There is a spacious and relaxing guest lounge on the first floor. On the ground floor you will find the dining room with adjoining lounge area. Relax and plan your day here or walk out and sit on the veranda to take in the view and garden. A spacious drive provides private parking. For walkers and cyclists there is a drying room should the weather be inclement. Garage space is also available for motorcycles and pedal cycles. Location: The journey to Skye is a spectacular one, wherever in Scotland you are travelling from. And the closer you get to Skye, the more stunning the scenery becomes. Stonefield can be easily found a few minutes from the centre of Portree. Arriving in Portree follow the signs to Somerled Square, head up Home Farm Road, continue all the way up to where the road bends to the left, continue on down the hill where the road bends and twists until you come to a t-junction, turn left to find Stonefield at the end. Here you will be given a very warm welcome by your hosts Rosemary and Douglas. Unpack and park your car, then you will be shown to your well appointed bedroom. Kick off your shoes, have a cup of tea, browse through the information pack, have a shower or bath, then set off refreshed for the evening. There is a selection of Portree restaurants and bars just a few minutes walk, through a leafy lane, from Stonefield. Rosemary and Douglas will be happy to advise you on where to find the restaurants that they and their guests have enjoyed. |
