Description: The Ellenby is an elegant listed building overlooking Scarboroughs Magnificent North Bay with spectacular views, from the Castle on its right to the coastline on its left. It is a non smoking family run and provides good home cooked food, a high standard of cleanliness and comfort and a warm and friendly welcome to all. There are 13 en-suite rooms, many have beautiful sea views. All rooms have central heating, colour TVs, radio alarm clocks, hairdryers and complimentary teas, coffees and biscuits. Irons and Ironing boards are readily available. You can relax in the lounge or bar and enjoy further breathtaking views of the sea and surrounding attractions, or take a short five minute stroll and find yourself in the town centre. Location: The Ellenby offers is guests easy access to Scarborough Town Centre which is only a short walk away. Attractions include the Historic Stephen Joseph Theatre, Scarboroughs many cafes, pubs and restaurants the shopping precinct and South Bay. Just minutes away is also Scarboroughs Cricket Grounds, Peasholm Park, an indoor and outdoor bowling centre, and the Sea Life Centre. We are the perfect base for touring the Yorkshire Coast and North Yorkshire Moors, with Whitby, Filey York, The North York Moors and Goaathland (Heartbeat Country) all within an hours car journey away. From the railway station we are only a ten minute walk away. |
