We offer; a warm Lakeland welcome, hearty meals prepared daily, cooked and served by the proprietors Alison and Ron Walker, and outstanding levels of service and accommodation. All rooms are comfortable, en-suite and the car park is large. These are only some of many reasons why guests return time and time again, meeting old friends and renewing their love of the breathtaking scenery in this idyllic corner of the lakes. All rooms are spacious with colour TV, tea and coffee facilities and hairdryers. White bed linen and complimentary towels are in all rooms. Drying and ironing facilities are available. Daily newspapers are delivered to your bedroom door each morning on request. Some double rooms have spa bath - ideal for a relaxing massage. Although being in the village centre, some of the top floor rooms have fell views. Location: A beautiful stone building dating back to 1870, the Waverley has an exceptional location on a quiet side street and you couldn't select a better place to enjoy the whole of the Lake District, whether you explore by car, train, bus, or on foot. We are 5 minutes from 2 bus stations and the rail station and Lake Windermere is just a 15 minute leisurely walk. |
