The guest house is 5 minutes' walk to the charming village of Windermere and 10 minutes' walk to the lake and the lively little town of Bowness which nestles on its shore giving you a variety of interesting shops, pubs, restaurants and other places of interest such as the Beatrix Potter Exhibition and lake cruises. The main railway station is at Oxenholme (near Kendal) on the main London Euston to Glasgow route (3.5 hours from London). A local train service runs from Oxenholme to Windermere and we are 10-15 minutes' walk from the station. |
