Meadowcroft Country Guest House has 12 tastefully furnished rooms all with large en-suites and some of which have baths and showers. All rooms have colour televisions plus tea and coffee making facilities. We have a variety of accommodation including single, double, twin and family rooms. There is ample parking for all our visitors. Meadowcroft Country Guest House is strictly non smoking accommodation. Pets with well behaved owners are welcome, although there is a small charge and dogs cannot be taken into the dining room at breakfast time or left in your room unattended. Disabled Accommodation Meadowcroft offers the disabled visitor a warm welcome. Our guests will have a large identified parking space at entrance to property and ramped entrance door. We have two ground floor double rooms. One room has an en-suite with a large step in shower and grab rail. The second room has extra wide doorways into the bedroom and bathroom to enable wheelchair access. The en-suite consists of a level access shower, disabled toilet with support rails, lever taps and if needed shower chair and toilet seat height adaptations. The bedroom is large with space to manoeuvre a wheelchair. We can also provide if needed a support pole for over the bed. An intercom system is available for guests travelling with carers. Enjoy a full English breakfast in our spacious dinning room. The large double doors provide easy entry for wheelchair users. The Watermill Inn our local award winning hostelry has ramped access for you to enjoy local ales and good food. The gated road offers the wheelchair user the chance to travel up into the hills on a hard surface and enjoy spectacular views of Ings Village and the surrounding Lakeland areas. Location Meadowcroft is for those visitors who seek a rural location in a small hamlet at the gateway to England's most beautiful National Park - The Lake District. Ings Village is just 2 miles from Windermere, 6 miles from Kendal, a town for all seasons. Meadowcroft overlooks hills and fells in an area of outstanding natural beauty and provides a superb base from which to explore Lakeland. Meadowcroft is just 12 miles from junction 36 of the M6 - its ideal for a comfortable break on the long journey north or south. From Ings Village you have easy access to the Kirkstone Pass through to Ullswater. For a little shopping and sightseeing visit Windermere, Ambleside or Keswick. Be sure not to miss the picture postcard areas of Rydal Water and Grasmere, home of William Wordsworth. Enjoy the lush peacefulness of the Eskdale Valley and the remoteness of Wast Water. There's easy access to the Furness Peninsula and coastal resorts of Grange and Morecambe.
